“Dear Neville, Thank you to you and all members of the Kangaroo Island Pioneers Association, for your contributions to the celebrations of the 175th Anniversary of the first arrival of European settlers to Kangaroo Island. The plaques provided by the Association that were unveiled for Governor Henry Wallen and the Christian Family in the Pioneer Cemetery to commemorate their contributions to the early settlement of the Island will assist in keeping their history alive for the many visitors who come to visit the cemetery and learn of our Island’s history.  I also thank your committee for your organisation of such a successful Settlement Day dinner held at the Aurora Ozone to “cap off” a memorable day—your work in promoting the history of Kangaroo Island is greatly appreciated.”
