OBITUARY.

Mr Frederick Henry Gasmier an old resident of the Kingscote district passed away in Adelaide on Sunday 17th inst. He was born at Woodside [sic] [England? Germany?] on July 10th 1845 [sic]. As a young man he started farming at Deep Creek near Tarlee, afterwards moving to Laura, He worked around the Port Pirie district and at Rosewater near Port Adelaide. In 1881 Mr Gasmier settled on Kangaroo Island where he resided until three years ago when ill health necessitated his removal to Adelaide where for the last eight months be has been an inmate of a hospital. Mr Gasmier leaves a family of two sons and eight daughters, of whom Messrs W. and G. Gasmier and Mrs G. Christophers reside on the Island.
